What is the Veterinary Care Charitable Fund?

The Veterinary Care Charitable Fund® (VCCF) is a program created by the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) to provide veterinarians with a simple and effective way to offer charitable veterinary services to clients facing personal hardships as well as a means to support animals rescued from abuse and neglect.

Enrolled veterinary hospitals now have a way to offer low or no-cost services to clients who may otherwise be forced to surrender or euthanize their beloved pets.

Providing Care When It's Really Needed

Charitable care may be provided to those in need including:

  • Disabled veterans requiring a service dog
  • Low Income senior citizens
  • Good Samaritans who rescue domesticated animals
  • Victims of domestic violence

Those in tough times who need assistance with medical care, or emergency treatment for their pets.

Animal Hospital of Old Metairie Veterinary's Dedication

Animal Hospital of Old Metairie has been a member of the Veterinary Care Charitable Fund since 2005. We are 1 of only 11 veterinary clinics in southeastern Louisiana, and 1 of only 6 clinics on the Northshore, Southsore, Westbank and Eastbank who provide this service.

We provide this service as part of our mission, and commitment to our community.  It is with your support that we will continue to provide this valuable assistance to qualifying pet owners throughout the greater New Orleans area.
