American Veterinary Medical Foundation
The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) is the charitable arm of the American Veterinary Medical Association. For over 50 years, the AVMF has been dedicated to their mission of developing resources to advance the science and practice of veterinary medicine to improve animal and human health. Charitable contributions and support to the Foundation help veterinarians help animals. Magnolia Community Services
Magnolia Community Services (MCS) leads the way for people with developmental disabilities on many different levels. On a daily basis, they work with individuals to help them achieve their vocational and personal goals; ensure their access to safe, affordable housing; and experience all the wonderful cultural and community resources our region has to offer. AHOM is proud to host the Magnolia Corner in our clinic, featuring original pottery pet bowls and animal=themed works of art from the artists at MCS. 100% of the sales go back to MCS.
Weimaraner Rescue of the South
Weimaraner Rescue of the South is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Their priority is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home Weimaraners in need in Alabama, Mississippi, and parts of Tennessee, Louisiana, and Georgia. AHOM is proud to support this wonderful organization.
Cane Haven Rescue
Cane Haven Rescue is a local nonprofit 501(c)3 organization located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Their mission is to raise community awareness for dogs in need with animal education and welfare and promoting rescue, adoption, and spay/neuter initiatives.
TUSTEP
Tulane University's TUSTEP program allows students the opportunity to raise and train service dogs for the organization Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), a national organization which places trained canines in a variety of different capacities: service dogs for those with physical handicaps, skilled companions for people living with mental disabilities, hearing dogs for the hearing impaired, or facility dogs that help at different types of government and medical institutions. BVS is proud to support this great organization and the work the students and the dogs do.
